Root 2.1 rom here

I know the feeling.

Lol, less than an hour after the beta goes public and his forum has crashed from all the traffic.
 
I installed it last night. works great so far. it actually feels just as responsive, if not more responsive than CM 4.2.15.1.

Bugs.. I'm experiencing
*apps crashing
*live wallpapers seem to slow the phone down badly... ( kinda expected that )
*camera zoom doesnt work but he said it would be fixed
*no voice input on the keyboard ?
*facebook only seem to sync some of my friends contact pic? not sure if this is just a facebook bug

these are just some minor bugs i ran into still great rom though
 
I haven't had any crashing app problems. I did have one complete freeze that caused me to pull out my battery, but that was caused by a live wallpaper that didn't play well. (not all live wallpapers work with this ROM). I'm just staying away from using live wallpapers on a normal basis.

I think my favorite feature is the percentage displaying right on the battery. love that! I'm not sure if that's a cyanogen feature or a 2.1 feature?

yeah i like that too and i think it is a cyanogen mod because i used the nexus and the droid before and they didnt have it...

i found that the led scroll-er, plasma and the starfield ( for some reason this one automatically disables its self every once and a while.... it probably a bug in the wallpaper its self) and the maps live wallpapers work pretty good.

Well, the camera zoom issue was known when they put out for public testing. I was having the issue with Market apps not downloading, but I reflashed and fixed that. I haven't had any apps FC, but acore did a few times.

Seems just as fast and smooth as 4.2.15.1 WITH a ramhack kernel installed.

stock 2.1?
well with out running certain live wallpapers it is pretty impressive considering the hard ware it is running on and that fact that it is in early stages.. (plenty of time for optimizations) Definitely the fastest and most functional 2.1 rom out there.

had a issue with USB connectivity.... every once and a while when i plug in my usb to my computer it doesn't notify me on my phone and i cant mount to my computer. the battery indicator does show up as charging though...? it is easily fixed by rebooting the phone... :cool:

Actually, I had to install SetCPU apk because the overall performance felt sluggish. Ie) returning to Home screen from browsing internet or Opening Market, there had been about 5 seconds delay.
I do not think it's memory related issue as I had plenty of space available in the internal memory. But after installing SetCPU, the problem no longer exists.
I am really loving the rom so far.

Spare Parts > enable "Launcher in memory" at the bottom.
 
I just installed this rom. It's running fine without any problems. I have lag when I exit form gallery and other apps too. I can't see spare parts, where are they?
 
I had another problem. My phone turned off without any reason. I had to pull off buttery and put it back to turn on the phone:(
 
I didn't. I put it back Super D. 2.1 was running really bad in my case. I had to wait 5 sec or more for every app and gallery was unusable.
 
That's a shame, it probably could've been fixed pretty easily. It's been running almost perfect for me.

Test 6 came out earlier tonight, maybe you want to try again, or when it's out of the testing phase.
