2.1 update for generic global

Not sure, but there are multiple threads on the 2.1 topics, if you ask in any of them, you may get an answer :)
 
No mention in the links, does this global install as x10i or x10a? If x10i, has anyone seen a x10i to x10 a thread for 2.1 yet?
 
My Generic Global is X10i but it has always been that. I guess it installs fw depending on what you've already got.
 
And another satisfied 2.1 customer! Figured I won't need to change to x10a before it gets sorted out in the XDA boards so set it all up. There will most likely be a quick fix released to get back to x10a in a week or two so no worries.

And I even managed to do all my updating at home on my Win7/64bit pc! Amazing what reading can do! x10iUser gets major props for the links, advice & forum notes for noobs like me, both here & on XDA.

Got 2.1 Today On UK Generic, Im with Virgin Mobile but sim free phone,
The phone didnt prompt me, but PC Companion did when i plugged in.
Updated to Firmware 2.1
Build - 2.0.A.0.504
So far it seems Fine.
Update was Straight Forward.
