2.1 update rolling out! starting 31/10/10

I read somewhere that O2 don't brand their phones, no idea if thats true!

Have a look in the service menu, from the unlock screen don't swype but press

Menu Back Back Menu
Back Menu Menu Back

Then select service info, model info and have a look under brand.
 
Country : United Kingdom
Brand : O2 pay Monthly
:D

hmm but in timescape, o2 has its own spline and thats the only thing from o2 on the phone.
 
Well god bless O2 for not filling the phone with crap then! Guess you will be waiting for O2 to release 2.1 then.

but when I use that debranding guide, will it help me to receive update sooner.
or will the SEUS get its info from some hidden values on the phone ?

As stated earlier - all we know is it starts tomorrow (bout 24hrs time) in the NORDIC region (denmark, norway etc etc)

for GENERIC, UNBRANDED handsets only, then will progress region, by region, network by network

only nobody knows the order that will take place

so, you may, but there again, you may not

erm - as far as i know from what i've seen i believe it will help you to get the update sooner, but it will also void your warranty

Just seen Cubz on there too. It's strange having faces to the names! It would all be perfect if my twitter app worked over 3g tho. Nevermind, maybe 2.1 will solve that whilst its solving poverty, famine and Angry Birds (think I've covered the major parts of the update haven't I?)
 
It does state Sunday evening in the product blog.... so I reckon 18.00 Nordic time, but as our clocks are changing in a couple of hours and I have no idea if that puts us in line with European time or further away from it I can't do the maths. I shall settle for 'less than 24 hours to go'!
 
It was very very good - but the Satio camera was better - just a shame the phone was crap - hence how i got an X10 - allowed to return Satio

I had hundreds of thousands of photos on my K800i, but then I lost in in ireland because I was being chased by a farmer with a shotgun, because apparently I was on his land....How was I to know :rolleyes:

Anyway, I was going to get the Satio, then I noticed the x10 on the Tmob website, so I did research on that and decided to get that :)
