2.2 in "mid October"

it ll be here when it ll be here is kinda what Im going with. it would be nice if they released the froyo code for the specific handsets ahead of time though

Just enough time for the freelancers to release their own, debloated, deodexed, rooted, debinged and optimized version....lol choices are always good

FYI

Looks like we are looking at late November or early December now.

Yeah, I suppose we should just resort to the old it'll be here when it gets here mentality. Word on the street isnt overly optimstic on the dev side either, not for the very near future at least

Cute story about the Mrs. playing with your Dinc. Im surprised she didnt know how to properly use it and that she got red faced after playing with it :p:D;)

haha, i hadnt thought the title was that bad until i reread it and figured that would be the point of attention.

I agree also but this seems to be the norm anymore carriers taking forever to release an update and a leaked version being released and devs getting it out there to people usually weeks if not more before the carriers version which usually has more bugs then the devs version(which they didnt test nearly as long as the carriers)

Well, count me among those whose anticipation has yet to consume them.

Faster browsing would be nice, but as it is my phone loads typical mobile content plenty quick. I have Skyfire in the back off the app drawer for those occasions when I feel like watching video on my phone. A true GPS fix would be good but I don't rely on it often and if I fire up the GPS status app it seems to lock within say 30 sec.

Gimme a nice clean Birdman 2.1 with Voodoo and OC and I'm good, I'll let you guys play with the buggy November release. I can wait til its polished.
