question. I am currently using my vibrant, if I keep my myTouch 3g on without simcard(inserted and removed) on wifi will i get the froyo update or is my common sense right thinking simcard+network(3g) needed?

I don't know whether this has been posted before, but samsung just released the froyo source code for the galaxy s phones. I guess it's a matter of time now before someone at xda cook us a froyo vibrant room.

BTW w_bovine I sent you a PM over on XDA, afterwards I found the 1.8 fix for the black keyboard, but I will be damned if I cant get it to work!

How about more discussion regarding this, then the nonsense

I am getting pretty frustrated with waiting for 2.2 on the Samsung Vibrant. I purchased this phone the first day (Mid July 2010) assuming the Vibrant would get 2.2 by September/October at the very lastest.
