Root 2.2 Rom Question

Is there any 2.2 rom that's built off source, but is also based of stock with no changes other than root?

What your asking for really doesn't make sense. If you are building from source... there is no "stock". Now having said that, the Motorola build FRF57 is built from source. When other devs modify that build... that is not considered building from source but when Motorola built it, it was from source. Does that make sense?

I think what you are looking for is a "Stock" Froyo 2.2 official release - to which there is none.
Just ROMs compiled from official google source - components, not an official release.

When I say stock, I mean vanilla android.
So what I'm asking is if any of the existing 2.2 roms are vanilla android with the only addition being root.

No because a Droid version of "stock" has not been released yet by Motorola.
 
THere are vanilla builds out there - I don't have the links saved, unfortunately, they are 2.2 source w/Google apps and su.

There's an IRC channel (#Koush) where you may be able to get the link...
