Root 2.2 root to get it before push??

I understood how people were able to get a hold of 2.1 early. It was because the nexus one had it. But how will people get a hold of 2.2 to port it over.

Well we didnt get 2.1 because of the nexus. Most 2.1 roms were from a leaked motorola build of 2.1 which was ESE53. Cyanogenmod got 2.1 from AOSP source code as soon as it was released.

With 2.2 cyanogen will get the AOSP source code as soon as its released. I would guess there will be another leaked 2.2 build but who knows. If not more devs will have to start building from AOSP source or building from Cyanogen source.
