The problem is that MetroPcs reps have said everything including it isn't coming out. The fact is they DON'T know. They are having issues with the update.

When it comes out it will be posted in the Official Thread created by Jazziette. A MOD will update the first post if Jazziette doesn't get to it in time.
 
*228 dont work....and some metro rep have this phone and when i showed them mines they fell out there chair and asking how is this possible...i ask them do they know what rooting is all said no which i was inspecting them to say, but i done a few of there phones. And the tapout is not in the store yet but when it does, im gonna try my best to get my hands on it to back it up and post it here, just hope it the same way as the current ascend. Funny thing is when i check the net it say available in stores now and that was 4 days ago, and yet when i go to the stores there not in stock.....
 
now i want the 2.2 lol idk say i do root my phone would have any changes to the metro pcs plan like would it disconnect text and calls or anything like that?? cuz my mom would kill me lol

Sorry if it seems like people were ganging up on you. I'm sure you posted with the best of intentions. The thing is we have heard it all from these reps/store employees. We've heard everything from "we're never getting it" to "its out now" to "its on sd card" to "its ota" to "you have to bring it to the store" and my favorite- "2.2 had too many problems so we're getting gingerbread". Lol. We pride ourselves on being a friendly forum around here, so don't take anything personally. Some people are just frustrated waiting for the update and getting jerked around by the metro/cricket no-nothing employees. I'm sure no offense was intended.
 
yes thats correct, and all the work is appreciated....and if you need time to figure things out first take it, dont rush yourself... :)
 
I will try to play with it and use z4root , rom mrg , and what ever is on that video
and try to pull the rom outta the tapout
and post it
