Downloaded three things from the market, and now everything else sticks at 'starting to download'

**Rebooted, and same thing. Canceled each one and started over, and now it works.

I've had the problem forever on every build since 2.2 its not new to GB

I have been having this issue since the most recent market update. I have found if you go in to the app that is hanging it will not even show that it is downloading and will let you install or update again, sometimes it has taken me three or four times, but it will download.

ESPN Radio app is not showing up in the market.

A lot of apps didn't show up during the last update go round to 2.2.1. It takes a while for the vendors, Google and Verizon to validate the OS as a certified and authorized platform. And, since Gingerbread isn't an official release, there will definitely be a delay. It's one of the reasons that I'm waiting to upgrade this time round....but MAN, is it hard to wait!

Here's a HUGE one that I just noticed. In stock Gingerbread, the "Listen to" and "Set Alarm" voice commands were fixed and are said to work without 3rd party apps. However, in our build of Gingerbread, they still don't work. Im wondering, if this standard Gingerbread functionality was excluded from the Moto Gingerbread build, what other basic improvements did they exclude?

I've had that problem too. I click cancel, then download again and it unsticks it. Sucks to have to do, especially if you are downloading a lot or reloading all your apps, but it works.

I have been downloading with no issues through the online app store. Since I have so many I thought this would be the easiest.

Don't know if I should have posted in here but I posted a new thread about my install aborting each time after downloading from multiple mirrors.

did you freeze/delete/rename .apk's while you were on froyo? If you did and didn't make sure everything was restored properly before you updated, then the update will always fail. My suggestion is to flash the maderstock.zip (google it, not sure where it is right now) and then try the update again.

This is a .zip format installer, it doesn't care about pre-requisites and it certainly wouldn't cause a regular ZIP file download to fail.

My launcher (the stock one) redraws literally everytime I go home. It is the most annoying thing ever. That, and the keyboard seems to lag/is less responsive than on Rubix. I've had a few slow downs, but it always comes back. I think I'm gonna factory reset and see what that does when I can get on reliable wifi.

Not at all bothersome, just something that I noticed right away. When I reach the end of the screen of an app and keep swiping my finger across, a light blue tinted box or boxes pull onto the screen.

in the market place it only shows the apps I paid for
I wanted to clear data on market place through application but it wont let me any ideas

It's built to do that. Gingerbread feature. It's just a little effect when you hit the end of a list - stock Gingerbread has an orange glow.

I know in the 2.4.2 leak that was other there were several profiles for the stock launcher. However when I go in to profiles there is only one profile to be able to select. I liked the idea of being able to have different profiles. Anyone figure out how to add a profile to this yet?

mine has "Home" "Work" and "Weekend" by default

its not downloading that causes the hangs its when you are updating apps especially when you have a lot to update.

WidgetLocker will FC if you try to add an application shortcut to the homescreen using the Blur launcher.

Other than that, so far so good.

My big issue is I can't get the blur home to show up so I can pick it as Home after clearing defaults. All my other launcher are on the list but the blur.home isn't (using homeswitcher). I was able to select it at one point after selecting widgetlocker but with widgetlocker installed I couldn't put apps on the home screen from the app draw as widgetlocker would crash. so I uninstalled WL and now I can't get to the blur home at all and I'm forced to run a 3rd party launcher, very weird. For a time I had it running it was pretty cool but now I can't even try it out :-( I never thought I'd say this but home do I get blur back? lol

unfortunately the way i was able to get back was to uninstall my other launchers...GB doesn't seem to play nicely with home switcher apps right now...

Edit: Off topic, but EC the basic Blur framework of this build is damn near PERFECT as a base for your Honeybread theme with all of the Blue colors and such...hopefully once this thing gets rooted and the devs get messing around we can get some Honey for our Ginger...
