Help 2.3.3 OTA bootloop

My friend installed the OTA and it keeps bootlooping, and sometime loading. When he goes to run an app like messenger, or gmail the phone crashes and reboots. Is there any advice, or anything to correct the issue? Thanks in advance!

is the phone rooted? what is the hboot? do you have access to recovery?

No the phone isn't rooted, has access to stock recovery. Did a factory reset as well as wiping cache and to no avail. As far as the hboot I'm not certain.

other then a factory reset, looks like you need to take it in.
