2.3.340 Update Coming

I kind of want this update. I want to be able to uninstall the stuff I dont want though, without rooting. blah.
 
And I had downloaded everything over the weekend to upgrade to the leak, maybe I'll just hold off another day or two....
 
I did the one click root using visonary and I'm still on .15
should I have any problems getting the OTA?
or do I need to unroot?
 
You guys can derail a thread faster than some of the racing websites I'm on!:p

I checked my phone just now and is says I am on 2.3.15MB810.Verizon.en.US This is the one that should change right? I checked for an update and got "no update is necessary at this time".
 
Hey guys just curious...I never update to the 2.3.15 so when this update is available will it show me 2.3.340 update or do I need to have the 2.3.15 before I can update to new one?Thanks
 
a person that i work with said he checked last weekend and got a manual update. However i have yet to get it and confirm it on his phone.

Will update when i have more. (yes i know useless post)
 
I am on a Motorola Advisory panel. I recieved an email a couple of hours ago indicating the members of the advisory panel would be getting the update TONIGHT. It also said we would be getting it before the other Droid X users.

So it looks like a few of us may get the update tonight, and the rest of you will be waiting.

And - since I am rooted, I guess my report to you all might be of interest. Will it eliminated my root? Brick my phone? Speed things up? Allow world peace? Who knows!

Shhhhhhh..You're not suppose to post anything publicly. lol
 
Well, since Motorola allows us to pull the updates rather than wait for it to be pushed, I'd be as soon as it's available for anyone, we can all get it, so don't feel so special jcarlosfox :)
 
What is the most stock version out right now directly from M? I just restored back to my OTA from October bootloader 30.03 and system version 2.3.15

Also I'm rooted

I feel special only because I get so much information, help, and tips from this site.

As for saving the file - love to. Someone tell me how!
