Well, which one of us wants to clear data (factory reset) and see if the update is there after that.

I do have a Titanium backup, so it wouldn't be the worst thing to do so, but I'd really rather not. Titanium restoring apps is good, restoring system data, that's a crapshoot sometimes. I'd really rather not have to rebuild my home screens, ringers, BT, wifi, etc. if I don't have to.

Hey Lex. I called today about changing my phone number and when the VZW tech had completed the change, he had me run the *228 option 1 to activate. It auto-booted my phone and as it started up I saw the little open box with the arrow, as if it was applying an update... so I got a little excited. Only to find that it did a factory reset on my phone.

I'm on stock 2.3.15, rooted and deodexed for themeing. I'm getting the "your system is up to date" message like a lot of people.

Just checked at 1:30 Mountain time and got "no update your system is up to date".

And, from what I have read, you will not be able to update for a while as Motorola has pulled the file and waiting for the reviews from the select users.

So....if anyone has the file and cares to share, that will be the only way to get the update for now.

if i'm on rooted/deodexed running the black glass theme with some renamed .apk's what should i do before i try to get any ota update? i just don't feel like bricking my phone. still new to the rooting...
