Root 2.3 Source Code Released!

How long does it usually take before we see this ported to other devices or incorporated into custom Roms like Pete's and Cyanogen?

-Tim

I give it til Monday. With the holidays next week it may be later for CyanogenMod and UD and such, but I'm guessing a vanilla rom will be out from Pete before the holidays begin.

Crappy FroYo? lmfao. FroYo has been the best acting ROM on my phone, bar none. WAY better than any of the previous iterations.

Still, GB FTW - I bet it is gonna be someone like Liquid and / or BD to get it out first, but I would not be surprised to see the Charity devs kickin' it out too.

i can't wait to see gingerbread running, just a normal rooted version! Hope it comes quick, I would figured by today but I think Koush abandoned us Droid users

I've been hating on Froyo since it came out. LauncherPro keeps redrawing for me, ROMs feel sluggish after turning a week old and I have to wipe and reinstall, etc. This never happened with Eclair. I guess that writing up a "review" on iterations of Android is about as reliable as doing so for kernels. Every single phone acts differently.

i use cyanogen mod with a 1.2 kernel, never had a sluggish slow feel until i have installed a bunch of nightlies and it gets bogged
