I also updated to 2.3.3...

Everything's great but the problem is low space phone memory!
I can not recive any SMS... :(
Do you fix this problem?

I have a 7.3 GB free on my 8GB card inside my phone.
How can I do to make the SDcard the default memory?

Why LG put only 200MB inside Oprimus one?

Can I ask something? is it only the people from Romania that can upgrade? I tried... but there wasn't the option for me :(

really want to upgrade.. pls help
 
I have an unlocked rooted Koodo Optimus one.

When/if the official 2.3 update comes around, do I have to do anything different to update my phone as opposed to someone who never rooted their phone?

Will it remain rooted? Or will i have to re-root? And is it likely the current rooting procedure will change with the new OS? (I used one click gingerbreak).

Any thoughs appreciated.

Why don't you install something like App2SD?
 
Is 2.3 available in Malaysia, does anyone know? I'm keen to buy one of these outright for my wife and have it upgraded to 2.3. Cheers!
 
What about the gingerbread 2.3 that is not official update of LG? is it safe? or do we really have to wait for the official release? I've read from this post that it has been announced to be available by May? We're in the month of August now.. :(
 
Any word on when LG will release the update in Canada ? The LG Canada Web site says an update is available but the Update tool tells me I have the latest version and there's no need to update :confused:

You sure can. Either wait for the official GB update (See if its already released in your country), or else root your phone and you can install custom GB ROMS on it which are much better than the 'real' ones :D

Rooting is the process of giving admin access to almost everything. The official updates that are released stick on to certain things. But when you root your phone, you can make certain changes that could increase your battery life, Performance and lots of other things drastically. Keep in mind ROOTING USUALLY VOIDS WARRANTY, but there are certain walkthroughs in the forum that could hide the fact that you rooted and get back to ur factory settings!

Now there are different ways to root your GB.
The first and foremost thing that you should have is a Custom ROM. You can get a list of custom roms from XDA developers, P500 android development forum. Once you choose the ROM that you like, you can go ahead with rooting.

One thing that you should do is, FOLLOW THE STEPS properly. If you ignore things, that could leave your fone to be a BRICK. So make sure that you understand it. There are lot of other walkthroughs that you could use regarding rooting your phone. Just Google. If you still face issues, let know!
