yeah I didn't believe it either but it was more than likely a glitch

can this become the dedicated post your quadrant scores for 2.2
 
I wouldn't go crazy, guys. This tweak makes stagefright the default media player. Stagefright is better at decoding h.264 videos. Quadrant uses h.264 decode as part of its benchmark. Thus, the higher score. But, this tweak breaks playback of videos recorded by the X. Stagefright is also worse at decoding audio than the native player (opencore I believe). People using this player in Droid roms report serious problems playing Pandora and Sirius. Sometimes the quality is worse, sometimes it breaks audio abilities altogether.

So, this tweak increases the performance of a task that Quadrant just so happens to use. The same kind of thing occurs with Snapdragons and Linpack. This _doesn't_ mean that this tweak improves overall CPU performance by 30%.

Thanks for this post. I asked about this and no one seemed to know the answer.
 
I don't know anything about quadrant, but with a JIT compiler, with 2 consecutive executions of the same code, the 2nd generally be quicker. Does that translate to real world improvements? maybe, but not across the board.

Dude you're bumming me out. My phone is fast as lightning now Quadrant says so!!! Quit being jealous :D
