2nd gmail account on SF, possible?

For several days I've tried to add my second gmail account to my SF, but after several minutes it says it cannot connect with google servers. Any idea what the issue is?
 
Just a email account or your active gmail account for purchases?
Another purchasing account, no.
 
I know it sounds crazy but open your youtube app>menu key>account then sign in with your gmail name and pass. Its the only thing I found that works.

I have 3 Gmail (paid & free) accounts running under the gmail app. Just click "add account".......

You may need to clear cache, data and defaults on all gmail accounts in the application manager and start over.

I had that issue a while back with another device, and found that sometimes it just gets borked right after adding a new account (I think it's a Google/gmail issue, not a device OS issue).

Menu > settings > applications > manage applications > gmail, clear everything, reboot and set one account. Once that account is successfully tested (send an email to yourself from your computer, download an app from Market ;)), reboot again and set up the second account.
 
I was able to add three of them the first time and then I deleted and had the same problem. I fixed it by signing in to youtube as stated above and was able to get them back.

FWIW, This is exactly what I had to do to work around this issue when it happened to me a few months ago.
 
Yep, the only thing that worked for me was to log into Youtube with the Gmail acct I wanted to add and then go into gmail, hit the settings softkey, select accts and now it should show your other gmail - keep repeating to add as many as you need.
 
Does this add contacts from your other google accounts too? Or just the mail aspect after the 1st account.

It will only do one calendar, though. Is this fixed in 2.2? I hate not being able to have both my work and personal calendars separate on the same phone. I have to put all appointments of a personal nature, and all work appointments with clients on the same gmail account. I don't like having my personal names and contacts intertwined with all my work ones because of the confidential nature of my work.

But I can check all my gmail accounts just fine with the stock gmail app on my phone. I just added the other accounts and in the mail app you hit the bottom left touch button and then "switch accounts".
