Root 2nd-init Recovery

ok so now I am bricked lol it probably was not this file thow I had not fixed it from the last zip I tried from sam... I am unbricking as I type

My server was showing that one person downloaded this so I took the link down since I don't want people installing this till it's tested. Here it is again.

Here it is... Just flash this zip in recovery. Then check to make sure that wifi and BT works.

As soon as you've done that let me know for further instructions.

Download - Link will be up for five minutes

Well as it turns put Ive already been unlocked as I already had the unlocked message upon reboot. Seems you did the same things i did and just ran your Boot.img through Loki. Thanks anyway.

What you say makes no sense lol. Any boot ran through loki will give you that message, but that means nothing if you don't do any changes to kernel or ramdisk. If you do have a modded kernel, why not share it with everyone? That would have saved me the trouble.

Also running it through loki is not the only thing I did.

I edited the ramdisk to allow you to remove any app on the phone without bricking and also give ADB full root access.

I also built mine from source code to do all the compile trouble shooting so that you guys or myself can use my source code to build overclock kernels.

Anyways, I'll post my kernel even though I couldn't get feedback from you guys.

I wont waste my time doing a proper working recovery or anything else for this phone since it seems you have it all worked out. By the way, you can easily make your recovery into a flashable zip so that it can be easy to install for any user.

I'm sorry if I offended you in any way. I didn't mean to sound harsh or like I know it all. I truly appreciate your work for this phone. Once again I didn't mean to offend you. I just saw the message upon reboot and assumed it was the same as what I had been experimenting with.

GT and I have more experience with this loki stuff..or for me I just know how it works...
Seeing that message means the bootloader has been bypassed, which doesnt mean unlocked.
Just because something looks like it's doing the same thing doesnt mean it actually is, just like how 4=1+3 or 4=2+2. The numbers used to equal 4 are different, but look like the same result. If I gave you 2 kernels and no source, you'd never be able to tell me the difference ;)

Just trying to say, don't be too quick to judge something :)

wow i am gone for half a day and there is drama....well my phone is still bricked so i will give the unbricking an other try on a dif computer if not i will be back in about a week, but still thank for all the hard work Sam and GT. i have had phone that in two years dont have what we have in this 1st month of the phones release ... i hope i speek for everyone with this phone

@sortoh85

I've asked for this device to be added at Unleashed Prepaids website. I was told it will be added sometime today.

Since this is your recovery thread I was wondering if you would like to add it to that site. If not I can do it myself, but would be nice if you did.

If you're interested go to this link and open a free membership and when device is added I'll let you know.....

Thought as much might be helpful for others to maybe add that to original post :)

Yes, please! :D

Before I plunge in, if ever I do, I won't though really if I have to try to figure out where I may have gone wrong through a ton of confusing posts.

Still, thank you to all who work on this and try it in advance of people like me!:)

DL a root explorer or file explorer go into the system folder you will see a etc folder and folder named init just look at all the init folder contents and they should be the same ifnot just correct them

Yes for some reason after changing the kernel, 2nd-init Recovery no longer works

Bcuz the bootloader is locked. Or u mean a lokid kernel is causing it not to work??
If thats the case, you'll need to make a lokid recovery. Also, lokid recovery is working 100% now for the Spirit (dunno about usb mass storage tho), PlayfulGod got everything working. The LG motion has a problem with the bootloader autowiping data :/ but other than that, the recovery for the motion works, except usb mass storage.
