Root 3.4.2 Honeybread Theme

yawdapaah

Android Expert
Hi all. I've ported (read: kanged) ECFfighter's Honeybread Theme for 3.4.2 ONLY. Just a little something to hold people over till the REAL themes and Roms start to drop.

All credit goes to:
+ ECFfighter for his awesome theme:D
+ Wugfresh for his theme porter script:eek:
+ UnkleDuke for pointing me to colorchangev3.jar:cool:

Let me know if there are any problems.
As always, use this at your own risk.

Well yes, 3.4.2 is the new Froyo build with updated Blur. It feels much quicker than stock 2.2.340. You can get it from P3droids TBH app.

So I'm guessing that there are no issues with this :p. It's been downloaded almost 20 times... Hope no one's bootlooping.

I may try 2.4.2. Things are going too well with my phone. I'm bored. ;)

I thought that was standard by now, no?

I don't know if WUG's script broke the 10%. I didn't use Apex 1.4 so I don't know if that version had it. The pngs were not in my ported framework-res so I had to add them (the long way).

Edit:
I don't know how the themes are created (I only modify them). Creating a theme with the stock/moto framework-res.apk as a base is significantly easier than modifying an already themed framework.

I think ApeX does 10% stock, but I can't remember for sure now.....your "EDIT" makes sense :D

I've rooted 3.4.2....................

...............Yawn.

I'm going to try this theme.

Edit: Wait. Where's the link or the theme? (All dressed up and nowhere to go.) :( :)

Edit: Oh well... back to liberty 1.5. I'll back this up and flash the theme when you put it up.

There's a thread about 3.4.2 on MyDroidWorld and people are saying that it's not very stable. It soft reboots when you try to install an app and it hasn't been rooted yet.

Unstable? Wow, I've never had a reboot yet and I've been rooted and themed for almost two weeks now. You couldn't theme it without rooting.

Edit:
Updated the OP with the updated theme. :D

How'd you root it?
In the TBH app, it says "This build is unrootable as is"

It's been rooted. The typical method z4root does not work with this. You have to use SuperOneClick which is PC based but very effective.

I rooted it tonight using that method. Good luck.

I wanted to do a nandroid of this rom, but couldn't. I couldn't get into ClockworkMod Rec. I had to SBF out of it. Did anyone else have this issue or was it just me?

Very stable and fast for me. This is a nice release of Blur from Moto.
