This is good. Not only will we not need to switch to a tiered plan to use MHS/MBBC (as some feared), but it sounds like we will continue to be able to add/remove as a feature on a prorated basis.

I just talked to Verizon and they assured me that any rumor of a Grand Fathered unlimited tethering plan is UN TRUE there is no such plan. You will pay $30 for 2GB

This isn't true. Look at the material from VZW. It's posted everywhere. You just got an uninformed rep which is no big surprise.

Very true. I usually call back until I hear what I want, write down the rep's name and the time, and have them annotate my account. Even if the rep is mistaken, they seem to honor whatever you're told.

must be a special seniors citizen deal. That's not bad $30 for a Grandfathers. they probably throwing that deal because most grandfathers are old and won't use it that often. They need their rest.

When you go to tether you will be redirected to the VZW page to add a tethering plan.

Verizon rep just told me that even for grand fathered unlimited data customers, the tether addition of $20 only gives you 2G per month ?
