As an owner of a Feitong2009 3500mah ebay battery, I am a completely happy camper.
I went on a 2:00 hour bike ride using Runkeeper tracking ( and gps to web broadcasting,) took a pic during the ride, posted to facebook at the end of the ride the battery dropped to 80%.
I came home, haven't been doing much all day a little surfing I forgot that GPS and wifi were on, but after 9 hours total time unplugged its still sitting at 72%. all this for $10.00!

Evo is now the perfect phone

Let's just agree to disagree on what the definition of using the phone is and go about enjoying our great phones! :)

How about an agreed definition of "phone"?

The EVO is barely a phone. It's more of a micro-PC with wireless capabilities. It's only like 2-3 steps away from being a Tricorder.

i've been impatiently waiting for mine. ordered on the 13th so i should be getting it within the next week but it seems like forever! can't wait :)

Wow really makes me want to order one. I jeep debating but the more I read I want one. Last night me and my friend both went out to this bar with 97 or 98% and in no time I was down to 60 and he had 85 left. I made sure lots of stuff wasn't running and we have different apps bu tmy phone was draining so much faster then his. I turned on GPS just to use Four Square to check in and then turned it off. I have Word Feud open and was playing off an on and he had his open. And I went to FB and read a few post and checked my mail. Not much for my phone to be dying so quickly. But I had the ebay battery in that I bought 2 for 10 bucks with charger. Maybe I have a bad battery. But his phone always last way longer than mine it's weird. I have 4 total so I changed it out but I know it shouldn't drain as fast as it does. I need to check what's all running again. I have Juice Plotter and I think defender and Y 5 battery saver and a couple other similar apps and don't really know how to configure what. But I just want to get 6- 8 hours at least while I am out. I swapped batteries and then I was taking a few pics and uploading to FB but I don't do heavy stuff on my phone when out for it to drain so quickly.

50 hours since fully charged
39% left
2 and a half hours screen on
Needless to say, I am very happy. I would of been lucky to make it 24hours on stock.

I'm officially in love, HTC should of used this battery to begin with! I even like the extended battery door, makes the phone feel more comfortable to hold. It was a little too skinny before. Not to mention just how crazy long I can go without charging it, been almost 69 hours and at 22%.

Ok so I don't have to go back and go through pages to find the link can you post it again for me please. I ordered stuff from obostore and it says it's still in my cart but I put in my credit card and thought the order went through. I emailed them and didn't understand there reply and had to email them again. Do they have a good battery there? I was getting a charging cradle and this one amp 3.99 battery charger since the ebay one takes forever.

UPDATE: Its only day 2 for me but wanted to post my thoughts so far.
Up Time: 14 hours 52 minutes 22 seconds
Awake Time:4 hours 39 minutes 06 seconds
with 39% battery left

For the last 2 hours I have been trying to kill it. Everything on, streaming Pandora over wifi with music transferred over bluetooth to some speakers in my bedroom, browsing the net, playing games, doing speed test with every server available, etc.. This current charge was done with the battery in the phone too, initial charge was done in an external charger. Wiped battery stats over an over this morning once the battery reached 100%. Took 4 wipes/recharge to get it to hold and 100%.
I absolutely LOVE THIS BATTERY!!

For any one wondering: This is the seller and the exact package that I bought. Took me about 2 weeks to get it in. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180533835846&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

I finally did it. I got the single 3500 mAh battery with door for $10 off ebay. Now we play the waiting game, I can't wait for it to arrive. I've been going at it with a coworker about the battery sucking a lot of juice and not lasting a full 12 hour shift. I hope I can just show the full potential this phone has to offer.

Thank all you guys and girls for posting your results and pics.

I've been using the Yooboa battery and back from obostore and have been very happy with it. Having said that you can actually get a Yooboa battery and back from stateside cheaper and I assume faster at this web site. I've not used them yet so I can tell you anything about them other then they've got the battery and back for $19 instead of $25 at obostore.

3500MAH Evo 4G Extended Life Battery - GorillaGadgets.com

I have some stuff in a cart at Obostore. Apparently my order is still pending and never went through. So now I don't know whether to resubmit that order or go with Gorilla Gadgets. Never ordered from either one before. But my friend was also getting a charging cradle and were getting this 3.99 1 amp battery charger that plugs in the wall and he was getting a case. But the Yooboa battery I saw it for 25 bucks and it's 19 with free shipping at Gorilla Gadgets. Or is the ebay one better? Wasn't the ebay one like 2 for something or not? Also I am not rooted so I can't wipe stats but someone said it took 4 wipes and charges. So I guess if I got one I would have to charge it 3 or 4 times to get the full effect and are you charging it with the external and not in the phone? I'll start using my cradle once i get it cause it will have and extra battery slot or my new 1 am wall battery charger. But now I want to try a 3500 battery. I just gate having the extra back and not being able to use my case but I'll try it.

E bay has one for 6.99 and several for 9.99. I see for 22.99 you can get 2 plus charger but I don't need the charger they charge too slow but my friend may want to try one of these batteries so I don't know which one to get from ebay or who to order from. Anyone tried the ebay one and the Yooboa one and have a preference to which one they like better?

Can't help you regarding comparing Yooboa with generic eBay batteries with the 3000/3500 batteries. I've only used the Yooboa 3000 battery from OBOSTORE. But if I were to buy any more batteries I'd order them from GorrilaGadget simply because I'd get them quicker.

Does anybod know of a good leather case similar to the OEM HTC Messenger pocket case that would also work with an extended battery? I love the case but I also like the benefits of an extended battery.

Wow, this battery really does get better and better everyday!! Charging in an external charger really does work better than in the phone too. Unless, you follow HTC's steps to charging the battery. Which is more crap than just pulling the battery and putting it in an external, so I wont be doing it HTC's way. Today (day 4) it has been over 1 hour since the battery has been in and the phone on......It still shows FullyCharged on my screen (using BattStat)!!!! Crazy impressive!!

Not sure if you want a leather pouch with belt clip where you phone will lay on its side, but HTC makes one and Best Buy carries it. I bought one ($30) and love it. Works great with the factory battery door and is a little tight with the extended battery, but it works. Also, leather will stretch over time so it will stretch to accomodate the extended battery perfect I'm sure. I dont want to use it for that so I dont want mine stretching. I just placed it in there to see if it would fit or not.
Good thing about the package at Best Buy is that you can easily open it right there in the isle and see if you like the way it fits or not.

I'm going to guess the 3000 mAh and 3500 mAh batteries pretty much have the same runtime? If so I'm just going to go with the U.S. seller for the 3000 version.

It is my opinion that the 2600, 2700, 3000, and 3500 are the same batteries with different stickers, knowing ebay practices with batteries over the years. They are the same thickness and that generally tells you that they use the same cell(s).

Taken that you get a working one (which you should but just watch out that you don't actually receive something that only lasts marginally longer than the stock battery), you should be quite happy. I've been blasting Pandora for 2.5 hrs now and am only 10% down. Of course, my battery is actually a Yoobao one, but I'm pretty certain they're all the same, just a difference in QA/QC.

I have a question about JuicePlotter and charging a 3500 mAh battery in the phone.

Does JuicePlotter pull the percentage of battery charge from the battery or the phone?

I am running stock non-rooted Evo. If I charge a 3500 mAh battery in the phone, JuicePlotter shows 1.5 hours until fully charged. This would kinda make sense. The HTC charger is 1A and if the phone thinks it's charging a 1500 mAh battery, 1.5 hours would be a full charge.

The graph on JuicePlotter shows 100% after 1.5 hours of charge too. Is this the reason to wipe the battery stats? Why wouldn't the battery stats adjust by itself?

It is suspected the Evo is programed to only think a 1500 mah battery will ever be placed in it . So essentially you put a 3500mah battery into the evo it still believes it has a 1500mah . Some suggest wiping the battery stats as to possibly fake the os into charging the battery to its full potential . Some suggest external charging while others say it can be done in the phone . Charging in the phone will require the plug and unplug and charging while turned off routines . I was always under the impression the battery itself will tell the phone its charged but from what I have read its the phone's os or charging system that makes that determination . If I was you I would charge it to full shut down the phone and restart it . See what the battery reads then . Then continue charging . I dont have the battery myself just relaying info I have read and see on various forums .

I bought the Yooboa 3000 and the external charger. I have charged 4 cycles and am getting great battery life. I'm rooted and running Freshes new rom with Setcpu and Juice defender. I'm not overclocking just under clocking and reducing data when the screen is off.
