Put your ringer volume on vibrate.



That's it. I confirmed it after NEVER once getting this mod to work.

Copy and paste over your existing cameraapp.apk in system/apps

Tried it and it actually works. Now that I remember, my phone was indeed on "Vibrate" when I tried it. I can't believe I didn't try that :/

Im just glad its working. Mainly for the people that wanted it really bad. I didn't really care but Im glad its done.
 
how does this explain the fact that i was able to get it working a couple of times on certain ROMs but it worked only once before breaking? Testing commencing now

I dont think it really matters considering it works consistently now.

but if you put ringtone goes back to unable to extract frame

Well so far more people have got it working in 1 day than since June. If it works it works, hopefully it will work for everyone. If they have it installed correct that is. ;)
 
My bad I didn't read the detections all the way. Lol I put my phone on vibrate and were good all the way. Thank y'all. I've been waiting and waiting now I have nothing to wait on now but cm9...damn.

You know.. I haven't tried it with my volume up. Question why do you think it only works when the volume is down? O.o

Edit: Well i get unable to extract frame. Maybe its the code that he put it that effects it when the volume is up?
 
No idea why this is so, unless there is an issue with a sound in the app malfunctioning, but good catch Fuzzy.

Tried it, works like a charm.

Cause as soon as you turn the volume back up, like we have been trying since June, it doesn't work. Just like before. Not sure why it would start working all of a sudden. Im confused O_o
