Root .340 sbf

Anyone know if we have a .340 SBF (I know system only)... but I hate having to SBF to .320 and then SBF the .340 system only... just wondering... if we don't thats cool. I've been on and off and paying particular attention to themes I'm making and another forum I'm having a fight with someone with so I haven't looked at the SBF in a while.

+1. If you need to repair due to a boot loop or other problem, you'll still need the .320 sbf.

So, does anyone have the exact file download locations for the .320 SBF file and the .340? You need to flash the .320 with RSD Lite and then flash the .340 over it right? I am just interested because I think I am going to try out the LexLite Rom which requires you to start completely fresh.

I was just hoping someone had put together an SBF that was the .340 already. Instead of having to SBF .320 and then .340. Question? The .zip posted in the second post is just one you flash in clockwork recovery correct? And wondering if its pre-rooted?

Yes, you install it from recovery. Read the link for other details. I believe the .320 is linked there too, but I might be wrong.

To my knowledge, there's just the .340 system-only sbf.

Just download that file to your sdcard and flash it from recovery. When you're done setting it up, back it up to recovery as a "stock_340" backup. That will be your ticket to getting the next OTA update.

Just want to note, according to the instructions - after you flash the maderstock zip, REBOOT first, let it do its thing, then reroot and install bootstrapper, then back up. It's possible to brick your phone if you do root required stuff after installing maderstock but before rebooting it.

so this will return me to stock? will it change my current layout?

I haven't used it, but it formats data so you will end up with a stock phone, just like when you brought it home on day one, except you'll still have your sdcard intact and the latest update.

Your apps will download from market and your system settings should also migrate from Google's servers.

You might want to install Titanium backup and backup everything first.

OK, I don't have a stock .340 backup so I thought I would do that today. Did a ackup of my most recent ROM (Liberty). Downloaded Maderstock340.zip Placed it on my SD Card and tried to flash but it keeps aborting. I noticed that the download is suppose to be 284.7 Mb and mine is 283 mb. I have downloaded it twice and gone through the same procedure but it still aborts. Says (bad). I am downloading from Mirror 1, could the program be bad?

If you're downloading on your computer, you can try to ope it from there. If the file is incomplete, it'll tell you before you try to flash it.

Downloading from Mirror 2. Will see what happens. Thanks.

Edit. Colchiro did try to open the first download on the computer and it was corrupted. Will se what the new download does.

Edit 2. That did it. Flashing back to .340 as I type.

I just downloaded from first link (mirror1) and tested the file with WinRar and it checks ok. My download manager reports 285 MB.

Try extracting the files on your computer (right-click... extract) and see if it errors out.

EDIT. Sorry, didn't see you had replied. Glad you got it working.

Well I went to reboot and I'm stuck in a bootloop. Keeps bootlooping using the boot animation I installed for Liberty, not the stock animation.

Well I got me a brick right now. I can't seem to get past the boot animation I installed. Tried to SBF and that failed. Question. When I load RSDLite and seach for the file it only gives me SBF for 2.3.15 even though I have 2.3.320 full SBF but RDSLite only wants to show 2.3.15. Any suggestions

Can I flash to 2.3.15 then to 2.3.320?

OK I realized my mistake. I was doing a reboot instead of a data wipe/factory restore. Once I did that my phone rebooted to stock .340. I made my stock backup and then restored my Liberty ROM.

I am still concerned about future sbfing. As I stated above RSDLITE will only load the SBF 2.3.15. Can I work from there if I need to SBF?
