Root 3g dropping issue needs a reset

I have RUU'd twice now and am getting a little frustrated.

What happens is I lose 3g connectivity (it goes grey) if I bring up settings and disable and re-enable mobile data I will be back online for another short period of time. The outage is completely unpredictable but will happen in under an hour almost every time.

The only rom I did not test extensively was directly after the RUU and firmware/prl/profile update. I have also done an OTA activation twice now while on stock.

So far I have tried Mobster sensless, harmonia, g60s cm10, and 10.1 wild for the night. Before every flash I have wiped everything in 4ext and on the last 10.1 flash I even wiped the SD card.

Currently my phone is running:

Is this happening to anyone else?

I get this problem too but unfortunately I don't know how to correct it. Occasionally my 3G would drop to 1x (in an area where 3G is available) and sometimes it would be grayed meaning no signal. Again in an area with 3G, I'm on Mobster but the only thing I can tell you to do it to reboot or restore a Nandroid back up. (I suggest doing the 3D fix because ever since I did it it has been better than before.)
 
I don't know if this will fix the problem but it can't hurt to try. While on the stock RUU, go into settings and update your profile and prl and see if you get better mobile data. If all else fails, maybe VM can reset something for you if you call their customer service.
 
Yeah, so RUUd again and on the phone with VM for an hour I finally got the person to admit they are having issues. He even specifically referenced the EVO V 4G as a problem phone.

They reset and OTA'd my phone and fully updated it.

Still have the same issues.

This sucks.
 
I have had this phone since October and 3G has been flaky in my area as of late. Turning off and then on mobile data usually resolves the issue. It is still annoying, regardless. I am currently using radio 1.09.00.0706. I think I'll try Radio 0.97.10.0530 that Leslie Ann recommends in the "Fix everything thread". I will need to s-off first.
 
I get knocked down to 1x regularly, my service has been really bad lately for no reason whatsoever. I havent made any changes other than rom flashes and im on 1.09 radio 1.53 pri, so idk. maybe its virgin/sprint just getting worse...would be my best guess
 
I used to have this issue a lot when the phone first came out for a few months, but I haven't had any problems recently.
