Help 3g Hotspot and Wireless Tether ?

Esentially the same thing. Wifi tether requires you to root your phone and then you can use your wifi on your phone to connect a computer and it acts as a 3g hotspot.

3g hotspot is a feature on your phone that will allow you to use it as a wireless access point but verizon will carge you 20 a month for that ability.

No, Wireless tether means that you "tether" your phone or plug it into your laptop and you can use the connection from your phone to surf, 3g Hotspot is what people are talking about here, it will act as a wireless access point and you can connect up to 5 devices wirelessly and share the connection.

Froyo was to include both options:

1.) USB tether (same thing we already do with PDAnet etc)
2.) Portable Wi-Fi Hotspot

Wireless Tether is a market app that allows a rooted phone to act as a wireless access point to nearby devices. Same thing as Hotspot but one is an app and the other is integrated into 2.2 and will be a paid service through Verizon.
