3G in South Florida.

When do you guys think 3G coverage will expand into South Florida?

Metro pcs employees are the last ppl i ask for anything. You always get the same response "we're sorry for the inconvenience, but we're working on that issue" or "please hold" and get hanged up on

Question guys if 3g is coming to south Florida do you need to do the 2.2.2 update? I mean I'm happy with my rooted 2.2 sense Rom but for 3g I guess I would have to update.

why would you need 2.2.2 for it?

a prl update, which is not the same. prl=preferred roaming list. It just tells your phone what towers it can connect to.

Also I hate to bring bad news but it looks like metro isnt bringing evdo to south florida.
at least not at this time.

No all you do is update the prl to 3020 by calling *228 and if that doesn't work you need to update it manually with LGNPST.

Hmm I see well I did the *228 number and it updated my roaming list and it went smoothly. So is there anything else to do?

Metro is only rolling out evdo in heavily congested markets, maybe they dont think miami is congested?

I am unsure if they are never going to do evdo in south florida but this rollout they have now is not likely going there.
