Help 3G Mobile Network for VW

The past couple days, when I boot up my phone I'll notice I do not have a 3G connection. I ask my co-works who all have various Droids if they have this issue and they do not. When I toggle on my 3G Network, it will turn on for a moment and then uncheck itself. Restarting my phone does usually fix the issue. Any ideas?

P.S. Restarting it fixed my 3G, however when I'm using Slacker it seems to kill the connection after the song finishes???
 
I'm using JuiceDefender and LauncherPro. I've only had this phone for a week or so, so its hard to pinpoint a specific app. It very well may be JD. I've had to disable that temporarily to use Slacker in the past.
 
Yeah, jd can do those things you listed.
If you are frustrated with it try disabling it for a couple days and see if you can live without it.
I haven't figured out how to fix the 3g connect issue, but maybe someone else here can chime in...
 
I'll never understand the need for JD on this phone. There are days when I put my phone on the charger at night with 60%+ left on the battery.

Do people really need their pone to last longer than a full day on a charge? Are there not outlets where you sleep?
 
I haven't needed JD at all as the battery life is much better than my old Eris. Just heard it was a nice app to have. More battery life can't hurt, right. Maybe I'll consider removing.
 
This is what I think I have learned and/or may know...
Since you have juice defender you probly have it set to enable connection when you unlock the screen and disabled it when you lock the screen.
When you start using the slacker radio you find your station and then probly lock the screen. You wouldn't keep it on the whole time just looking at it. When the screen gets locked it possibly detects the data traffic and lets it run for a little while then cuts off connectivity because your screen is locked, probably controlling it with some type of external lockscreen media buttons.
You may need to use jd plus and configure this certain slacker radio app to stay running (keep 3g data enabled) while the screen is locked so it does not lose the data connection that it needs to run.
This is all I can come up with at the moment, whew, veins are poking out of my forehead thinking about that one, now I am on the floor in a rage face! Lol ;)
 
That actually makes a lot of sense. I have JD disabled for now. Will probly just uninstall it as the battery still isn't bad. Thanks all.
