Help 3G Signal dropping constantly-Help!

i have this same prob and verizon will not help at all and im on my 2nd droid x unit

Switch from battery saver mode to performance mode. I done this 3 weeks ago and haven't lost 3g signal since.

Where do you go to access this feature?

Settings>Battery manager>>Battery mode>Performance mode.

Gonna try it myself to see if it help.

One day on Performance mode and all is well....... so far.

i had 3g this afternoon, then nothing(not even 1x). then 1x came back an hour later then 3g came back. then an hour later 3g and 1x are both gone. and after 2 hours and a call to verizon i still have no signal. soft reset, hard reset, airplane mode trick and the other tricks read on here dont work. live in minneapolis and im on my 3rd droid and about to switch back to my backup storm if this doesnt get fixed soon. any have any solutions at all?

Hoping and 'fix soon' are two ends of a spectrum.

It may just be the end of the spectrum the end of the lg spectrum which is the phone i have which i am having this problem with

Also some info the *228 doesnt work on 4g phones only 3g phones
