3g speed hack

There is actually an app called Pimp my Rom in the play store that essentially does the same thing. Try it out. It's great.
 
Yes. It will work. There isn't anything in the app for 3g specifically but it's a great app. It will make your phone run great. Try it out. There is a rescue package you can download in the app to fully "unpimp" all mods made to it from the app itself. Try it. It's great.
 
I've been having a blast pimping out a friend's ZTE Warp, and one of the things I came across was 3g/4g Optimizer from the Play market. This Warp experiences choppy 3g here (no 4g on that phone), so one 3g Optimizer setting at a time I ran a speedtest.net test. Speedtest.net gives you little linegraphs of your bandwidth performance and I could definitely see how the 3g Optimizer setting did definitely improve the 3g signal consistency substantially on the ZTE Warp. For what it's worth.

BIG TIME THANK YOU FOR THIS!!

I'm running the GB27 stock rooted:

I installed busybox - normal install not smart- ( as it tells you to for the 3g/4g optimzer app unpaid version ) , when i opened 3g optimizer app I first selected the radio button increase download speed and it says it does not support CDMA , Galaxy S2 (specifically) so I canceled. Instead I used the drop down box and set to maximum speed (which tells you drains battery quicker) and WOW the difference...

Using speedtest.net app , before any mods/apps I got about 260kb per second download with about 300-600 ping..with pimp my rom tweaks I was up to about 4-500kb per second download.. after setting to maximum in 3g/4g optimizer I am at 1000-1100kb per second with a 60-90 ping.. and this was with multiple tests.. I'm sure this will help my tethering out a ton so thank you!!

I am going to monitor the battery drain now with the max adjustment and will update.. I am running juice defender so i'm hoping since my 3g wont be on when the screen is off that it won't make much of a extra battery drain..

Yeah I saw huge improvements made from the pimp my rom app so I had to tell everyone. And thanks T. Burninator for the 3g/4g optimizer app tip. Also seeing improvements. Thanks:)
 
U guys may want to check out android tweaker or android tuner I posted un the recommended apps in the one stop shop. Has a lot of tweaks from speed hacks to pic quality, sound quality, volume and even kernel tweaks.
