Help 3G uploads faster than it downloads.

Did some bandwidth testing yesterday on my Triumph.

Why is it that the upload speed is faster than the download speed?

test results: download: 424 kbps upload: 688 kbps

Is this normal?

It's the same with me actually. My upload speed is usually double my download speed when the speed is below 1mbps, but when it gets above that the download speed is higher.
Weird; I'm not sure why it does that.

With VM's network, more people download content than upload, so the download stream is probably more overloaded than the upstream. Regular ADSL (Asymmetric DSL) or Cable internet, the technologies are designed from the start to have more bandwidth for download than upload. Mobile networks may not be designed that way (yet).

Or some type of download cap.

It's because the network is congested.

During non-peak times, you'll hit 1-1.5mbps down while up generally stays consistent.

Speeds works pretty good today I was getting some downloads of 1.3mgps
