4.1.2?

Mine updated yesterday afternoon. Took a few minutes after download as it said it was updating something like 60 apps. No biggie. Maybe 10 minutes from start of download to final re-boot. Sooooo, home screen rotation now. Seems like it was a issue for lots of people but not for me. I haven't noticed anything else different in the unit operation since the update. If you don't have it yet it's not the end of the world. I'd wait until OTA rather than jumping through hoops to manually install it.

Stopping Framework and restarting the tablet worked for me in NH.

I recently had to do a factory reset to get around the low-free space slowdown bug so I'm hoping this addresses that as well.

Cleared data, stopped Google Services Framework, rebooted and the update was already downloading when I went to check for the update.

This trick did it for me. I think the clearing of data was the big one, because I tried this without clearing the data first and it didn't work. I guess it didn't like me checking for an update every 15 minutes for the last few days, lol.

Tried this and never worked for me. Flashed it manually instead this morning.

Good times!

Got the update today while at work. Houston, Texas, USA. NEXUS devices are awesome. Can't wait to get the new nexus phone and ditch my galaxy s3.

Got mine this morning and I don't want it! The touch screen is less responsive and I now have home screen lag.

No issues here. I do know that the Nexus is really slow when it first starts up, but after that its lightning quick. But that was an issue with 4.1.1 as well.

Hadn't looked at my N7 for a few days and the update was there last night. Updated this morning after battery charged.

Yeah, I had it waiting for me last night too. Definitely like landscape mode on the homescreen,

 Blasphemy! How can you not look at it for a few days!
Seriously tho, it's nice to finally see a familiar name pop up here, you used to be quite active in the N1 forums back in the day :)

I downloaded and installed it manually.

The OTA and my initial attempt at a manual install failed because I did that little trick where you drop in the stock Android browser after installing flash manually.
After I reverted that stuff back to stock I applied the update and then re-rooted.

I have to admit that I'm not as happy with the Nexus 7 as I am with my Toshiba tablet. I had to pull it out of a drawer just to apply that stuff to it.
I'm not ready to ditch it yet, but for now my 10" is my daily driver.

If you install manually do you have to then manually flash from here on?

Also, what's the best app to flash?

Never mind...force closed the Google Framework thingy 3-4 times then the update came through.

No, its just pushing the ota to your device.

You don't flash it using an app.

Glad you got it. :D

Its pretty specific to Google chrome and the home screens... I use it every night for an hour or more so it was fairly easy to notice for me. The scrolling is slower for web pages and things aren't loading as fast... also the motion to move from home screen to home screen requires a longer movement or it just slingshots back to the page. Its also very choppy on the play store widget home screen now.

I now also have the screen flickering at lower brightness levels... only really noticeable in chrome and currents in a darker room.

I just noticed a flicker in chrome, which I never did all the time I was running 4.1.1
