That's what it does. Been a while since I have done it using that method so I don't actually remember how long the process takes lol. Could be up to ten minutes though.

To unlock, just use your unlock_code.bin file and fastboot. Same as before. To root, same as before. Nothing has changed. Just different OS version. Don't user Superuser. Use SuperSU.
