4.3 update Discussion and issues HERE !!!

No. When I search for updates again, it just says the usual message; words to the effect that the device already has the latest updates.

I wonder though, whether this is the last OTA update that the Note 2 will actually get.

Solved!!! I did not have 'Direct Pen Input' enabled in 'Settings / Controls / S Pen'. As soon as I did that it all worked as shown in the video by Lucidmike that Evohicks quoted at post #211.

Why does mine say this then? Anyone else? I did not use kies I did it ota.

ATT Note 2 SGH-I317 Lock Screen? Updated to 4.3, never rooted, flashed etc, always stock. Can anyone confirm what I should see on the lock screen? I no longer see the weather on the lock screen.

There are loads of threads on the net about 4.3 and Microsoft, anyone know the fix?

Tried this too, which probably wasn't helping although it has not fixed it.

It was working fine all the time before this 4.3 update with standard email app and Hotmail/Microsoft

"Try this: Settings > Data usage > (Hit the Menu button / Action bar [the vertical ... thing]) > make sure "Restrict background data" is UNCHECKED and Auto sync data is CHECKED. "

What type of lock screen are you using? Swipe? Pattern Unlock? I know if you choose something other than swipe, you don't get much.

Unfortunately, I'm not much help here. :(

I don't use push mail and always do a manual sync. But it does look like a HUGE issue with MS Outlook.com. Have you tried a cache wipe and see if that resolves it? Tried booting into safe mode and see if the sync works?
 
Got the choice to update, but think im staying put at the minute, now i fixed the damn rotate problem by ticking auto brightness :rolleyes: my note 2 is perfect. Im frightened to create issues again lol

Yes I know what you mean reading these postings I think I also will leave well alone for the time being If it ain't broke why try and fix it.LOL
 
Wooow I got the notification for the update yesterday and left it on downloading
And I don't know I remembered all the crap we gone through 4.1.2 ans I decided not to install till I come and I read here and wooow
Seems I will wait for a while although now that this is over my neck reminding me to install the update but every time I hit postpone...

Well something I cant get cleat about clean installation, you down the update and install it then you reset and cash reset or you 1st factory reset then cash reset then u install??
I am really confused now, should I do it or I wait...

Hi all. I'm in the UK with an unlocked Gt N7100. I got a bit impatient and couldn't wait for the UK's Official 4.3 Jelly Bean BTU release so I downloaded the Indian version and installed via ODIN.
Yes I did notice it was laggy at first but after tweaking a few settings in the developer options its a lot quicker and smoother.
Haven't noticed battery life too much as I'm always playing Candy Crush which is a Major battery drainer!.
Can anyone tell me is the Indian version of the 4.3 release the same Bell's and whistles as what we are expected top get in the Uk or is it just a Test Firmware?

At 00.00 on 20.12.13 I recieived another alert for a software update and one for security policy update.
The Software update was only about 14MB's so does anyone know what it was for?
If anyone wants me to display my details in "About device" settings on my phone I will if it helps.
Any advice or comment would be appreciated and let me Thank all the Android community for their input!!!

Just updated my s4 on EE here in the UK and apart from it freezing for 2 secs when I typing like on here just now its ok. Hope that will go away in time?
