This may be true as not everyone is having issues, but to confirm we would have to know where the new 'new' updates have been released, and that ain't gonna happen.
Ok, who in the UK unlocked version has problems? <Joking>:D
 
Since the android 4.3 update I have not been able to play old and new videos made on my phone.
"Sorry this video cannot be played"
This has only happened since I updated to 4.3.
My phone has not been altered in any other way.
I have tried other players but much prefer the stock one.
I hope you guys can help me find out how to fix this or where I went wrong.

That would be an interesting survey UK unlocked versions on 4.3 without problems
 
completed the update 4.3.
problem: the default text app i am using. when text arrives the lock screen shows a popup window with the text showing. i dont want that.
i "do" want the status bar to show the message like before. just not the pop up window.
looking on the settings both are linked together.
why! would this be done like that. this is really aggrevating. example: you could be in a meeting, leave phone on table. text pops up and the person next to you can read it.
please some one with some pull...change this.

Not sure about this as my wife still refuses to update to 4.3 lol, but is there a setting in the 'Lockscreen' menu in 'settings' that can change the way the standard message app is displayed in lockscreen, other than that maybe go to your stock message app and go into settings and see if there is an option in notifications to disable it.
I use Handcent so I am not going to be the best one to ask about this.
 
4.3 update working fine on my note 2, however I am having problems with the new Kies version 3 sync software. Seem to be an issue syncing with Windows 8, although Window 7 seems OK.

Anyone else having this problem?

So are we expecting another update to resolve the volume + equaliser issue?
 
Somewhere around 20% less battery life, S-voice sounds more robotic, and it's dropping way more calls/not sending texts. Glad I got to enjoy my phone for over a year without this garbage update lol
 
The battery life is a third of what it was. I barely get 7 hours from 22. I ran gsam and it isnt helping me figure out the issue.

I might root to fix this.

I have visual issues and camera issues. Random crashes. Crap

looks like i am the only one has this problem, so just to share with you gals/guys it is a bit weird but i found out that the S Planner in the Knox doesn't have this problem....
 
hi all, here are my issues after the 4.3 update (I'm on Tesco mobile in UK)

1) Notifications don't clear the lock screen when I slide down and click them. So say for example I get a facebook notification icon, I slide down notification tray (in lock mode) and touch it, facebook opens but behind the lock screen, it doesn't clear it off like it used to... very annoying

2) video player ALWAYS needs rotating 90 degrees. When a video starts playing I get a zoomed in version of the video but when I rotate screen I am then able to see all of it.

3) General slow down and battery life loss but can't complain at this as it always seems to happen when you apply a new update to an older phone

anyone experienced 1 and 2 and have any solutions at all?

Well done for that but I can't see Samsung sending a guy over to check it out and then put the fixes in a new update :) but its always good for people to try.
 
Lots of screen lag now. Texts are taking a long time to go out. Battery is draining way faster than it was before the update. Old calendar reminders are popping up randomly in the notification bar.
This really sucks. I had not had a single issue before this.

I know there is a area for this already but wanted people to see it as a separate thread for a while and then mods please incorporate into the appropriate other thread??

Anyways, the issue I was having was that the 4.3 update would not load completely and would just revert back to the 4.1.2 version. After 2 phone support sessions I went to the SPRINT corporate store nearest me. The tech's were able to get the 4.3 update pushed through.

The answer to the problem? Set your skin to the default TOUCHWIZ skin and it went through no problem. I am using GO Launcher Prime and that was what was holding me up.
 
Both myself and hubby have received our 4.3 updates, mine is running fine whereas his is now randomly freezing and apps are stopping when he's not even using them at he time.

I am having the notification thing mind you where when you click on say a Facebook post from lock screen it opens up behind the lock screen. However I assumed it was a security thing as otherwise anyone could get round a passcode on a stolen phone by this method.
 
Immediately after updating to 4.3, s - note crashes whenever I start the app.


Strangely if I goto my files, find my saved s note files, open one up and view it, then go back out to home screen and open s note, it works fine.... But I can make snote instantly crash if I open up settings in snote... Very odd and touch annoying as I use s note all the time.


I've tried force stopping the app, battery pull, clear cache on the app, but not tried clearing the data on the app..



Anyone got any easy fix for me pls?

To be honest, I would be doing a full factory reset after the update including wiping the cache, as there may be conflicts from the old 4.1.2 apps etc.., it can't harm, just have to reinstall apps but its worth it, as the lady from Loreal will tell you!
 
hie~ my galaxy note II has received the software update (4.3 Jelly Bean)

so after i downloading the update, there was a notice pop out. the notice showed me the features of 4.3.
then, there were a "install all" button and a "install" button. i pressed the "intall" button.
after the update, my phone android version is now 4.3.

so my question is, what is the difference between "install all" and "install"?
is it ok for me to press "install" ?
is my phone update completely?

i really need ur helpful replies~ i appreciate and thank you !
 
There was a "video app" and a "video player app" both stock. I did as you suggested and it worked,thank you very much for your help.
