How is everyone finding the touch version of 4EXT for those of you who use it?

I personally think its amazing and makes things so much quicker especially with the Recovery Control app for 4EXT thrown in for good measure allowing easy updates etc. Impressive theme control too for the standard 4EXT Classic.

Hope your all keeping well too long time no see.

I thought you'd deserted us for one of those new, fancy 3D phones, how's things?

I'd seen the 4EXT recovery a while back, but it was in beta and I don't like the terms beta an recovery being used together :p. I did say I'd give it a shot at some point though.

If you don't get the app, I take it the recovery.imgs are available to be flashed via fastboot aye?

Yeah Prez the recovery images can be flashed direct from Recovery itself. 4EXT Classic is no longer in beta and works great. I love the themes available and the UI customisation it offers. 4EXT Recovery Touch is still in beta but the beta is more related to the interface. Some swipes aren't recognised and results in selecting an option but with the "Are you sure?" type dialogues that pop up it prevents you mistakenly choosing anything that could be bad. Still can't recommend the app enough if you spend any decent amount of time in Recovery lol.

As far as deserting you for a 3D phone...it was on the cards but having played about with one on loan (Mate opened up a phone shop on the Wirral) ,the look (bezel on the rear being a major bugbear being sick coloured lol), the lack of support for the 3D Content, and not having a 3 contract available for it I decided to pass. Not worth being tied in for two years on a network that doesn't offer me enough internet, been there done that and not again. ;)

It's brilliant. I've been using it for a few weeks, and considering its in BETA stages, it works flawlessly. I've used it to wipe everything, flash roms and mods, backup, restore, convert ext3 to ext4, and other features.

Had no problems with it whatsoever.

My volume down button doesn't work properly, so this recovery is perfect for me.

I try alot of different roms, so I spend alot of time in recovery. I would strongly recommend 4ext touch.
