Help 4G speed is horrible

hi guys, i have the lg esteem and im in the Los Angeles area and my 4G speed has gotten very slow... as in speedtest showing .50mbps download on my 4G speed. ive run the test like 20 times so its pretty accurate. When i first got the phone in Nov i was getting at least 3mbps.. plz comment so i know if ur speeds are same or faster , thnx in advance
 
Sounds bad. I'm in la too, but I usually get around 3 to 4 mb up & down.

Better towers in my area, I guess?
 
I'm just outside the L.A area about 30 minutes from there and I'm getting about 2.5 Mbps down and 3 up. Haven't seen 3 for down, don't know if prl 3027 will make any speed improvements. I'm currently on 3026.

Did you make those "50" tests all from the same location? Or all around your area (going to work/school, home, etc...)? Did you do them at different times of the day? And over how much of a time period (few hours, few weeks)?

Maybe your house is just in a bad spot, coverage wise, or you are checking at a time of day with a lot of congestion in your area. Or maybe they just had an issue with one tower one time...

Because those speeds are really low. For example, I get consistent minimum 1300 kbps up and down, and very often (and more and more areas all the time) getting up to 5 mbps down and 2-3 mb up. I am in Florida though, although I hear reports from some markets with even faster speeds than that.

i forgot to mention this but im on the $60 plan and yes i have been running the speedtest throughout the day from my house and all im getting is around .50mbps... i routinely run the test and have been for the past 2 weeks and im starting to think metro is reducing all our speeds...
