4g?

I have a buddy who just got a new fascinate from his dad who works for VZW(some sort of retailer). He claims that not only is it 4g, but it can do voice and data at the same time. I called bs on him but he swears he was using data while on the phone, nowhere near wifi and that it gets 4g. I usually dont hang out on this side of the forum, but I did look around a little bit and couldnt find anything about this on here. Can one of you fascinate guys either confirm that this is possible or tell me that it is bs so I can pass the message along?
Thanks!

It's probably the new Samsung Galaxy S2. I know the Thunderbolt can do data and calling at the same time now too.

I have the thunderbolt and it does do 4g and simultaneous data/voice. I only used it for a couple minutes to try it out, but it appeared to be flawless.
Just talked to some lady at verizon and she said verizon had no information on it but there are rumors out of a fascinate 4g, but I believe she was referring to Telus. But since Telus uses HSPA+, wouldn't that not work on verizon?
