I am more concerned about them seizing laptops, cell phones, tablets, flash drives, papers etc at the border when you travel. Apparently they don't need to show any probably cause. So your laptop, phone or tablet could be seized for months.

Lots of bad things can happen when DHS starts deciding you should be more carefully considered. I'll bet that many people that get into trouble with DHS has more to do with the pissy passenger than it does bad DHS personnel.

I think if you comply, do not yell or name call, and you just let DHS do what they do, you will not be detained and neither will your devices.

But, as with most anything else in life, there are exceptions and clearly, DHS personnel are sometimes to enthusiastic. The system must be overhauled.
