Root [5.1.1]XenonHD For LG Leon C50/H345 on T-Mobile and Walmart Family Mobile

From what I gather it supports both armv7 or armv8 but no oem has made it armv8, though I could definitely be wrong
http://system-on-a-chip.specout.com/l/440/Qualcomm-Snapdragon-410-MSM8916

The more I read the more I think that it is just what you described.

The chip supports both, but the kernel was made for 32bit, hence v7. Marshmallow is supposedly natively supporting 64bit (though I don't know what benefit that would have for the Leon), so I wonder if the kernel for the stylo on MM sees the chipset as v8.

Which one do I install thanks

The Leon is natively arm7 32bit.
We'd need a system overhaul and a brandspanking new kernel just to interpret 64bit instructions.
My main worry is that since our CPU is arm7, would it lead to extra wear and tear if we converted to 64bit.

Stylo and Leon both use the Snapdragon 410 which is a 64 bit processor but it can run 32 bit as well. The code for 64 bit is in the stock kernel source but LG decided not to use it and went with 32 bit. This is not to save wear and tear on the processor though as the processor can natively run both so that is really not a issue. What is an issue is building for 64 bit as I do not think they have incorperated full 64 bit support into the stock kernel source. Which to me sucks because it is not taking full advantage of the capabilities of the device.

Now I personally am glad this conversation came up cause it sheds new light on building Android 6.0 for me. I have been trying to build CM 13 using the generic msm8916 CM kernel source and even without setting a flag to build 64 bit it still wants to build for 64 bit. But yet the BoardConfigCommon.mk still has the processor as v7. So maybe this is why the kernel is refusing to build. Plus you guys would not beleive the massave amount of errors I have had to work through just to even get it to start building kernel. I will have to put this knowledge to the test now as I had not realized that the 64 bit side may actually be v8 and not still v7.

The top link for xda didnt work for me. Takes me to a page that says it has been moved or removed.

yea this is based on cm so shouldnt have a problem. loving the rom but switched back to stock to be able to record video in snapchat and facebook messenger.
No XenonHD is not based off of CM. It is highly based off of AOSP. In fact we pull very little from CM as possible. Basing your ROM off of Cyanogenmod is not a good idea anymore. CM is constantly making changes and if you do not keep up with them it will break your build. For example in Android 6.0/CM 13 the brillant devs with Cyanogenmode decided to totally remove vendor/qcom/display-frameworks from source for no understandable reason. This one dicission had all of us with TeamHorizion scrambling to figure out how to fix our build. And like I said we still do not understand why the repo was removed. So if you are gonna base your ROM off CM you should just track all your repos from them. We do not we have our own frameworks repos that we maintain as well as a large majority of repos in the XenonHD source. I give credit to CM as they do a lot of good in the Android community. But CM is making a lot of changes to Android that is not necessary and are only to make CM look good.

Can someone tell me when the camera recording build comes out cuz I'm tired of using the app to record vids it doesn't look as good as it does with the regular camera app thnx
