Root .605 Can't Root!

Wally World

Android Expert
I just got the .605 update-113mb as I came from Froyo and this seems not be able to be rooted. I used the Droid 3 one step rooting method, it installed Superuser but no apps can gain root access. I have tried Root Explorer and Tit. Back Up. Can I try something else?

Tried it it and still doesn't work. It put an updated SU binary zip on my sd card but I can't get into clockwork recovery to install it.

Had no problems rooting the .602 to .605 update. Maybe they locked down this one differently.

The same thing happened to me. I had to run the process a second time and it worked, then. I don't know why...but that's what happened. I hope this helps.

y would you need to get to clockwork to install the new superuser from the market?? but do as steven suggests reflash it :p

Same thing happened to me.
The solution for me is using psouza4's one click program instead of
DROID 3 easy root script v7.

Does someone wanna make a thread out of this so it can be stickied? and/or maybe added to a instruction guide thread? This is important.

Edit: what an app! it unroots. Unfortunately, it is very complete and when I was testing it out, it UNFROZE MY APPS! Now, I have to go back in and re-freeze. :p

So my droid auto updated to 605 today. I read the threads, and have tried, just not sure if I'm missing something. I tried a factory reset, and my superuser (also updated my superuser via the market) icon is still there. Tried to unroot through z4root which is what I originally used to root the phone, didn't work. I also tried psouza4, no luck, what am I doing wrong??? Maybe I should just leave my phone as is, but I love the wireless tether. Any suggestions?
