And to all who sacrificed, to all who suffered, to all who work so that it won't happen again, and to all who serve to protect freedom -

We will never forget.

Thank you to all active and retired military (as well as civilian public service!) for continuing to keep our country safe, and free. On the 11th anniversary of 9/11, the joyous fact we have not had a repeat event, is overwhelmingly thanks to you and your selfless service.

Absolutely, thanks to all who served and those that gave their lives.

My best friend from high school, SFC Michael F. Buchan, served a tour in Iraq, then a tour in Eastern Afghanistan, Kandahar provence. Has hearing loss and slight brain damage from a rocket propelled grenade. He saw hard combat, 1st of the 501st airbourne infantry. Served in the same unit my farther served in Vietnam. Mike is my Super Hero. Thank you amigo.

My words will never be able to express the gratitude that I have for the firefighters, police, EMTs, and military that risk their lives to keep our communities and country safe. I don't think anyone old enough to remember 9/11 will be able to forget it. I would like, one day, to visit the memorial.

A forum post just doesn't do it justice, but it's nice that we can all come together even from distances to show our thanks and appreciation for the servicemen and women of 9/11 (and active).

Thank you to anyone and everyone that has served in our armed forces. Thank you to anyone who was there to help that day and thank you to all the very brave men and women who lost their lives.

I can never forget and nobody ever should.

The world changed that day, more than it has on any one day. It created profound fear and vengeful bitterness. But the threat it introduced, while still present, has been magnificently subdued. In addition to those already mentioned, I have to thank the George W. Bush administration for guiding us through the early years of this transformation.
