ok i am getting a TB tonight at 7. I have some questions about the rooting aspect of the phone. I have rooted alot of phone and yes this one is rooted already by me and the phone is my buddys.

So is there at way to unbrick the phone if happens? Like SBF?

How is the sense 3.0 roms for everyone. ( iseen alot of people talking bricks cause of the radios)

Anything i should know about this phone?

I'm a Sense guy, another (much more knowledgable) Sense guy here is Mclabia, he will probably provide you with the best information on whatever it is "Sense" you are interested. There are a bunch of Sense ROM's, each unique and as I have learned from the vets here, you really don't know until you try one. Every phone is different, some ROM's run flawlessly for some, and for others, they run poorly, it's all preference, and it's all about what takes to your phone the best as well. When I first tried to root back in June, Yeahha, WormDoes, Scotty, Ibrick,Mclabia, along with a few others practically held my hand until I got the job done. Now, I couldn'e be happier, don't be afraid to ask questions, that's what we are here for.

As for the radio issue you speak of, the radios that were causing those apparent "brickings" were older radios which are all practically outdated at this point IMO. We have had several new radio leaks released, I have been on 3-4 different radios since June myself, all of which rid me of my random reboot issues, and I have never had an type of scare thus far.

if your experience is largely with moto, the htc equivalent is to flash RUUs,recoverys, etc. in hboot. ive done some messing with moto devices, and IMO htc devices are much less finicky and more enjoyable to root and rom.

you dont need to flash new RUUs very often, however. on htc phones, recovery is a real partition that can always be accessed, and more often than not, splash screen hangups, bootloops, and most other things you can think of are fixable there.

sorry i cant be of much help on the sense rom info either... i run sense from time to time, but spend most of time on AOSP.

again,welcome to the forum. :)

I'm also an AOSP guy but I'll try to give some rom suggestions. Synergy seems to be popular with people. Also the newest release from BAMF (BAMF Forever I think) tempted me to try a sense rom out, it has the elements from uber BAMF which I have heard a bit about. Also the BAMF guys are working on a sense 3.5 port so it will be interesting to see where it goes.

Welcome to the Bolt's forum!

Coming from a Motorola Droid X I can say that I love the way HTC has their phones set up. You can 100% always access the bootloader, unless you flash an incorrect bootloader onto it. Unlike Moto's SBF files, which I always found as a hassle. Hopefully you love this phone, and I'd say you should go AOSP, it's greener over here ;)
