Root A nice combo to quell the ICS itch

So, I am really excited to see what ICS brings to the android OS. There are no ICS ROMs as of yet, but I know of at least two devs who are trying to port ICS elements into ROMs for the Droid X. Until then, we have themes and launchers that can keep us occupied. This is my setup:

Liberty 3 v2.0- Fast and smooth ROM to build the foundation.

Bignands ICS Theme for Liberty3v2.0- really nice stylings by a great themer

GoLauncher with ICS theme- GoLauncher is a great launcher with a ton of support and configurations. The widgets are great and the launcher has given me no issues. Both are available in the market

Liberty has a font selector built into the ROM toolbox. Robotic is an available font which adds to the ICS theme.

This is what I have done to quench the ICS thirst until the ROMS get released.

Looks really nice. I won't have the real thing until after Christmas but this will definitely keep me occupied.

agreed...quite like the rest of the theme...i think im actually gonna go back to the normal ICS signal bars...but i really like the battery icons from stock Liberty, so im going to keep those

Looks fine to me. Even stole Mets clock for my phone.

i ran it for about 10 minutes. the only thing i really liked was the dialer. I had gotten to use to the CM7 ICS theme which is pretty much as close as you can get.
I am sure a lot of hard work went into this theme but it is just not to my liking.

Agreed, I tried Liberty and I really didnt care for it, found the ICS theme for CM7 and i love the way that it looks

Yeah the CM7 ICS theme is much nicer than the one for Liberty.

Now that I see the alternative, I see your point. I don't think I am flashing anything else. Probably about to trade mine in for credit towards the Nexus. Ready to move on.
