I got a boot animation from the link i provided below and it is made for this phone but the problem is the animation is 48 seconds long and when i put it on my phone it wouldn't play the whole thing. Is there a way to fix that to allow boot animations to play longer then it already is?

That just means your phones booting in less time than the phone can finish the animation. As far as I know theres no way to "hold" android from completely booting until the animation is done.

It's not often you hear someone ask to make their phone boot slower :D:p

I think that's a first ;)

If there is a way, I don't know how to do it. If you really want to see the ending, maybe it could be tweaked a little? Maybe remove some of the middle or reduce the amount of times it loops?

Which animation is it?

Open up the boot animation, you'll see desc.txt

Basic breakdown of that:

first set of numbers is resolution...

something something....then you'll see another number after that.

Example

920 780 10

See that 10? That's the FPS. You can raise/lower that...and that increases the speed..or FPS.

To my knowledge, that's the ONLY way to change it.

OK thanks i'm going to try it now :)

The next sets of numbers can be altered as well. I wanted to look at the file to see how it's set up. It may be set to repeat one part 10 times and you could change that to 5 for example. So you still see the full cycle of the animation but it wouldn't play each part as many times.

If you speed up the FPS too much it will probably look too fast.

Well, there's an alternative, too. Not HELPFUL in a way...

But he could always wipe cache/dalvik cache...then the boot would take a few moments longer ;)

Okay, I downloaded it. It has 7 parts

They are all only set to play one time. Each part consists of many frames. My suggestion would be to remove some of the frames. Take every other one out or every few frames. You could be as tedious as you want and pick through the frames to decide which ones to remove.
There is really no other way that I can think of than to just shorten the animation itself.

would you like me to post a link to the file? and i tried the method prinny said, it works kinda but still doesnt play the whole thing and and the audio that comes with it doesn't match the animation

I found it ;)

I forgot about the sound... Yeah that's a problem. The only option there would be to remove the sound altogether and just shorten the animation. Unless you can speed up the audio track with audacity or something..??

I guess i'll just find a different boot animation. The audio is what makes me like the animation so much and i never used any type of program to speed up an audio track before. But thanks for your help :)

Ive been posting alot of boot animations the past few days. :D

Look here.

I seen them and there really cool but i actually like audio to go with my boot animations which is why i like the one i posted cause the animation goes perfectly with the audio, but seeing as i cant use it exactly the way it is i think i'll redownload ur tube animation. I really like that one :)

[edit] I like the superman one to

I actually didn't notice you made more i like the record player to :)
