Root about to flash a kernal please help.

Ok so i am on the number 2 rom by idrifta i think its called and it has the speed kernal... i want to try out number2 rom witht the blitzkreg kernal. do i just flash the kernal without anywipes and stuff.

i always wipe dalvik and cache, but thats just me
