Help Access to internal memory?

Hi,

I like to have my own mp3's used for all the various notification's but to get them to show up as alarm tones I need to get access to the default folder which is in the 2gig saved for apps etc.

Is it possible to access this area using PC - I can only seem to be able to get to external SD or internal SD.

Cheers.

I could be wrong, since I don't have my SGSII yet, but I think you shouldn't need to do that - you can select your own tones in the original SGS.

In any case, to access the area you want to you'll need Root, and then something like Root Explorer.

This might work for you

connect your SGS2 to your pc, browse your sd card and goto the;

\media folder, open that, and create a new folder called;

audio - open that and create the following folders;

noticications
ringtones
alarms

so you should end up with

For Alarm sounds
/media/audio/alarms/

For notification sounds
/media/audio/notifications/

For ringtones
/media/audio/ringtones/

Just copy teh mp3's you want into one of or all three folders and they should be seen by the phone.
