Hi all, I have three spare batteries I ordered when I first bought this phone (not knowing I really wouldn't need them LOL), anyway, if I'm going to be away where I roam or I know I won't get to a charger, I'll put one in my pocket. Well, as the story goes, I forgot it was in there and ran it through the washing machine.

Wonder if it is still any good? I've been too scared to try and put it in my phone fearing it would short circuit something. It's been over a week and the battery is definitely dried out...

Any thoughts???

^^ this is would be the sensible thing to do lol :D
I tend to just put my tongue on the contacts

I don't know enough about this sort of thing. Worst case scenario is a fire :p
You mentioned that you don't need the spare batteries anyway. I'd throw that one out. What did it cost you?

My thoughts exactly, after thinking about it, not worth risking, I have two other spares and don't hardly use them anyway, got them for cheap off of ebay so it's in the trash already...

I would not risk it ... at least not with my phone :D
As far as I know Li-Ion batteries have a little build-in electronic circuit for to stop charging when the battery is fully charged. When this electronic circuit got busted (washing powder and hot water!) then the battery could be overcharged while charging.
An overcharged Li-Ion battery will explode.
