Root Ace Hack Kit 12.3 inspire 4g gingerbread.

basicly im familiar with iphones but not rooting after switching to android. this will be my first time rooting.

i have a inspire 4g on stock gingerbread 2.3.3 Sense 2.1
basicly all i want to accomplish is gain root access, unlock, flash a new radio and i want a stock 2.3.3 rom and sense 3.0

im using att1n's ace hack kit 12.3 and i have no idea what im doing really.
i dont know how to get the sd cid number from the sd card and at this point im not sure wether i need to format the sd or what. help please.

can someone break it down. maybe a video if available? or explain this part of the process.
 
Did you read the "effin manual"? Its all there.

Just open the hack-ace.cmd as administrator choose option 1. Then start the process in order and use the "effin manual" as reference.
 
I was taking a look at the Ace Hack Kit, and I read this:

Please do NOT run the hack step if you are already S-OFF and are running a custom ROM. It's pointless, and while it won't brick you, you can get jammed up a bit. This is for stock devices only.

What does that exactly means? I am using a stock unlocked phone.
 
Basically if your phone is already rooted and you have your radio set to s-off, you don't need to follow that step. When he says s-off that means that the radio has already been set to off, you would not be able to have a custom rom if you we're not already rooted.
