Root [ACS] Star-ScROM for Transform Ultra

I downloaded this directly to my phone and used a rom manager to install but the rom manager im using doesnt have the proper recovery... thing that i need to do it so its not working. i dont have a computer and i want this rom! what should i do?
 
no offense, but it kinda sounds to me that you shouldnt even being trying to use this if you think your gonna install this using "a rom manager" i thought that rom manager was an app that you can be used to flash clockworkmod-recovery, or other available recoveries in order to be able to install a rom from your sd card or known as flashing rom/ZIP.........i could be wrong though

Damn he just started his break yesterday and you are already saying he stalled out. He hasn't stalled, but he is probably burnt out. I suggest patience, he has taken this phone very far in a short time. You can always read up and try doing some developing yourself, if his results are not quick enough for you.
 
Definitally 2nd that tryingtoroot, in just a short while he has rooted us, cooked us our first rom, unlocked usb tether, and gave us starsettings. All this on top of helping sort out a few of our own personal phone problems. He's burnt out... not stalled out.

I am not being critical of interdpth... I have been his biggest supporter. I know he has been working on a custom ROM for weeks now and has made very little progress on his list of action items/features because of phones issues, family issues, and now a break. I was asking if someone else was working on the TU because several people were in IRC last month chatting with interdpth and Shabby about helping out. I do not have the skills to develop myself which is why I donated to the cause. :D
 
maybe its just me but whenever I try to change the radio to EVDO my phone crashes for a second and it returns to the unknown setting
 
I'm considering rooting my Samsung Transform Ultra, but I haven't decided exactly why I want to root it. If that makes sense, haha. I know that I will eventually, but should I wait? Thanks :D

if you dont know why you would want to root your phone, then why even think about rooting your phone.... dont root it!

also please try to keep these threads neat and clean... you posted this in "Star-ScROM for Transform Ultra" and your question has nothing to do with the rom if you read just one line more you would find a more appropriate thread to post in " [ACS]Root for Transform Ultra "

Sorry about my last post, what I meant to say was, I want to root my phone, but it appears that there isn't very many choices of roms and such at the moment. And I am really interested in this rom. I am fairly new to android, and this whole rooting thing. So sorry if I sound extremely 'noob-ish'. Sorry if I caused any trouble though.
 
this is the only rom availible to the transform ultra this point in time.... read carefully before you do anything, theres no going back. (yet!)

this rules! thanks for the hard work bud, this is my first personally owned droid and all i can say is i appreciate the hell out of you making the rooting process so easy for and solid. The TU is your bitch all hail INTERDPTH!! haha
