Action shot camera app?

Are there any camera apps that have an action shot feature like the new Samsung phones have? I have heard a lot of the new point and shoot cameras have a feature like that, but I'd rather not bring a camera in addition to my phone whenever I go out biking/skiing/etc.

If you want nice pictures, use a nice camera. A real one. Not a toy camera with a plastic 'lens'. You'll get nothing but blurry snapshots.

You know that batteries take a serious hit in cold conditions, right?

I know that a nice camera will take much nicer pictures. That is why I have a real camera for real photography. I just want something I can use when I am out somewhere. I have my phone with me all the time and can't just take my DSLR with me when biking or skiing, not to mention having to manually stitch a bunch of photos together.

The Galaxy S phones have that feature already built in. I want something like that. If there are no apps then I will probably just buy the new 4g Samsung when it comes out on verizon, but I would prefer the get the Bionic and just buy an app that does the same thing.

Read my question. I want to take action shots specifically like the action shot mode in the Galaxy S phones. They take multiple shots of a subject in motion and stitch them together automatically.

Anyone else know of any apps that can do this?

I haven't found one yet, and I've been looking for a while. it's weird, you'd think the ability to take multiple shots in quick succession should be relatively easy to do and something most people would want. but apparently we're the only one's who think so.

exactly! I assumed that an application that could take shots like that automatically and require no post processing would be very popular. I can do the same picture with photoshop no problem, but I don't always want to put that much effort into a quick photo. I guess I'll have to either buy the new Samsung when I replace my current one or get very ambitious and write an app that does it myself.

I'm so tired of these types of posts. It's ridiculous. "What's a good camera app to.." "psh why would you use your phone to take shots like this. Go out and spend more money on a camera. I only take pictures with my DSLR since I always carry my big DSLR with me everywhere." He's asking for an app not advice on weather or not he should buy a new camera.

Edit: that's like someone asking "what's a good browser, I'm tired of the stock one." and you replying "If you really want to browse the web, use a big computer. A real one. Not a slower phone with a smaller 'screen'. You'll see nothing but small text.

It's pointless to argue with someone with such a rich imagination (and poor observation).

I know exactly what you mean. My Samsung Vibrant has it and my wifes Galaxy s2 has it. I just got the Galaxy S3 and it is missing. I LOVED THAT FEATURE! I cant find a camera app that reproduces that!
