Activating Docs To Go on 2.1 2nd version ...

The "Docs To Go" activation instructions found on the DataViz web site are sending me in a circle.

I was wondering if anyone else has successfully re-activated this product on their phone after updating to the 2.1 OS (2nd leak).

I have installed the app via a link sent to me directly from DataViz.

When I get to the second "About Docs" screen and click the activate button I get the following message: "No unlock key found. Would you like to view your options to unlock the premium features now?" and if I click on yes then it takes me to the market to buy the application.

The application is shown in the market but indicates that it is installed.

by docs to go do you mean microsoft office documents?
im not exactly sure what your asking but if you want to read office docs on your phone just mount your DS card and drop the docs anywhere. when opening quickoffice it will search all the files and find the one you just dropped in
 
Docs To Go is an application provided by DataViz. It is available for many platforms including the Android OS.

There are two versions for Android, one is a free viewer and one is a paid version that allows creation, manipulation and modification of existing files.

I have the need to run an excel file that uses calculation functions based on input. This is why I require the full version.

I had the full paid version installed on the phone. I then installed the newest 2.1 OS leak.

Since the upgrade I can no longer find the full paid version within the Market to re-install.

I had DataViz email me a link to install which I did.

Following their instructions I am sent into a loop with no solution.

I understand why the app is not shown in the Market. I am looking for a solution short of contacting DataViz vis phone.
 
Mine works.

You should have two things to install, the docs to go app and the docs to go KEY app.
 
Really, until the formal 2.1 is released you only have two choices. You can either do without, or you can download a copy of the app from one of the warez sites. As far as I'm concerned, if you've already paid for the app it doesn't seem the least bit unethical to temporarily obtain a backup copy of it from another source ... but of course, that's up to you.
 
If someone does have it, they'd get in trouble with the admins for offering it here. Just do a little Googling for the file name, and you'll find it in a matter of seconds. ;)
 
Yeah, I think it's pretty ridiculous that I can't access an app that I paid for already. And I don't trust any of those sites where I could download the Documents To Go Key file that doesn't show up on the market with the 2.1 leak.
 
I started a trouble ticket at DataViz and got D2G paid re-installed on leaked 2.1. It took several days but they may be faster now. They asked me for the number on the about screen and linked it to my paid version. Just ask them.

I will post the results here for others to see.

I hope I don't get in trouble for posting this, and mods, feel free to delete it I really don't care.

But if you want an apps, isohunt.com is where they are at.
 
This issue has now been resolved.

A simple call to the DV Sales department is all that is needed.

The D2G registration number needs updating on their side to complete the activation process.

I put 2.1 root on my phone yesterday. When I downloaded Docs 2 Go I registered my copy and it automatically upgraded. No problems at all.
